CYRUS ACCUSED OF STEALING L.A. BAND'S SONG

MILEY CYRUS has been rocked by another scandal just two weeks after the furore surrounding her provocative Vanity Fair photographs - now she's accused of ripping off someone else's song.
Los Angeles band Lustra claim Cyrus' Rockstar hit is a carbon copy of their Scotty Doesn't Know tune, which appeared on the soundtrack to 2004 movie Eurotrip. And they're inviting Cyrus fans who love her song to check out "the original" on their MySpace.com web page. Lustra were alerted to the similarities between the songs by fans and they listened to both tracks and the bandmates claim the tunes are virtually the same - with separate lyrics.
Lustra guitarist Nick Cloutman adds, "Although we are very flattered that Ms. Cyrus took this route, we would have preferred some credit." ... Read More ...

 E! Online reports: Before she was a green-bra-flashing, nude-back modeling symbol of all that is wrong with America, Miley Cyrus was a singer. And now she's got a new song, "7 Things"!
Judging by the lyrics, Miley got her heart hurt pretty bad—but can't wait to go back for more:
"And the seventh thing I hate the most that you do / You make me love you."

 Miley is the latest celeb to model in the milk mustache and join the Got Milk? Isn't that great? According to Miley's ad, studies suggest that teens who choose milk instead of sugary drinks tend to be leaner and the protein helps build muscle - it's the best of both worlds.

Miley Cyrus Thanks Fans At California Concert: 'We're All Changing -- Thank You For Helping Me As I Grow Through That'

 Miley Cyrus thanked fans for their support at her performance on Saturday at KIIS-FM's Wango Tango show in Irvine, California.
"We're all changing," the 15-year-old singer told the crowd, according to People.com. "I thank you for helping me as I grow through that."
During her 30-minute set, Cyrus didn't directly address the racy photos that appeared in Vanity Fair and on the Internet, the site reported, and managed to avoid speaking with reporters by not walking the event's red carpet. But, as she did last weekend at her Disney Games appearance in Orlando, Florida, she thanked fans for supporting her "through everything that's been going on in life."
Late last month, the singer issued a statement apologizing both for controversial photos she'd taken privately, depicting her in her bra and panties, and for those she'd taken for the Vanity Fair spread. Seems that everyone wants a piece of Miley Cyrus these days. Of course, her Disney show had a rating drop after the now infamous Vanity Fair photoshoot. But she does have other options once that well runs dry. We learn that John Travolta wants to make music with her and Hugh Hefner wants her to finish what she started with Vanity Fair.
TMZ has the Playboy story: Hugh Hefner doesn't get what the big deal is about 15-year-old Miley Cyrus showing a little skin. The Playboy founder told "Extra" (via NY Daily News) that he's open to having Miley really bare all and stop being a tease when she turns 18.
And Marc Malkin of E! Online has the Travolta story: "Not only are they both voicing characters in the upcoming animated flick Bolt, but Travolta's wife, Kelly Preston, tells me they could be making music together. 'Johnny may sing with Miley,' Preston said at last week's Step Up Women's Network's Inspiration Awards luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel."
On other news, Universal Music Canada is looking for their own Miley Cyrus. The Canadian label will offer a record contract to the winner of "The Instant Star," a summer reality talent show from YTV, Canada's kids' cable channel, and producer Tricon Films & Television, that will bow July 18.
The homegrown series will see young Canadians age 15 and younger compete for singing stardom. CTV's rival summer "Canadian Idol" series has a cutoff age of 16. Universal Music Canada's talent stable includes Bryan Adams, Shania Twain, Diana Krall, Nelly Furtado and Paul Anka.

Justin Timberlake Sympathizes with 'Victim' Miley Cyrus

Pop star Justin Timberlake has waded into the debate over Miley Cyrus' controversial photo shoot in Vanity Fair magazine--urging people to stop "picking" on the teenager.
The candid snaps--which show 15-year-old Cyrus posing bare-backed, wrapped in a satin sheet--have caused outrage, forcing the singer/actress to apologize and claim she was duped into the shots, which were taken by controversial photographer Annie Leibovitz.
But Timberlake--whose first taste of fame was in Disney's Mickey Mouse Club when he was a child--is convinced the media deliberately target "wholesome" teen stars and attempt to create scandal around them. Timberlake insists that although this practice has been going on for a long time, it doesn't make it right.

Miley Thanks Fans for 'Support'

 A week after her controversial Vanity Fair portrait was revealed, Miley Cyrus rocked the stage – and thanked her fans – at the Disney Channel Games concert Saturday night.
"I hope you had an awesome time," Cyrus told the crowd after performing her set. "I saw a sign back there that said, 'Miley, I'm praying for you.' I could not be more appreciative. Thank you guys for all your support. Without you, none of this would be possible. I love every one of you and I could not be more appreciative. God bless you."
Cyrus kicked off the night with "See You Again" and also debuted two new songs, "Fly on the Wall" and "Breakout," off her upcoming album, dropping on July 22.
Even the downpour didn't dampen the spirits of her fans, who stood in front of the stage and chanted "Miley" in between numbers. ... Read More ...
