Miley's favourite coffee is the Frappé. They're absolutely delicious cold and very sweet coffees, which often include whipped cream, toppings from chocolate sparkles to cinnamon and a lot of drizzled syrups, plus some use ice-cream too. Wow! Frappes are very popular but quite heavy, so you'll often see Miley's mum choosing a juice instead ;] They might not be an every day coffee choice but they're certainly amazing and you'll want to try them over and over so here's a lot of recipes!
Starbucks markets a line of frappe drinks under the name "Frappuccino" and if you've tried them you know they're addictive! So we included lots of Frapuccino recipes including some "copy-cat" ones so you enjoy them for a ton less. Mmm!
Tip: Presentation means a lot on frappes! Play with the toppings and serve them in big long glasses. If you don't have good cups make sure you keep the ones from your favourite coffee bar next time you have one.
Frappé a la Starbucks: Frapuccino Copy-Cat Recipes
Mocha Frappuccino
Ingredients
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
1 tablespoon granulated sugar, plus
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/3 cup strong coffee
1 cup ice
Instructions
1. In a blender, combine everything but the ice, and blend until sugar has dissolved.
2. Add ice and blend until smooth (sometimes you will need a bit more ice).
Mocha Frappuccino
Ingredients
6 cups double-strength freshly brewed dark roast coffee
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, plus additional cocoa powder for garnish
2 cups nonfat milk
Instructions
Fill ice-cube trays with half of the brewed coffee and place in the freezer. In a bowl, combine the remaining brewed coffee, cocoa powder and milk and stir to dissolve the cocoa. Cover and chill.
When the ice cubes have frozen, transfer them to a kitchen towel and, using a hammer or mallet, crush the cubes. Fill 4 glasses with the crushed ice and divide the coffee-cocoa mixture evenly among them. Dust the top with cocoa powder and serve.
Serves 4.
Instructions
Fill blender half full with chopped or crushed ice. Add all ingredients (except whipped cream) and blend until thick and still icy. Pour into 4 tall glasses, top with whipping cream and drizzle chocolate over the whipped cream.

Vanilla Ice-Cream Frapuccino
Ingredients
3/4 cup coffee (double strength and cold)
1 cup low-fat milk
3 tablespoons sugar
2 cups ice (crushed seems to work a little better)
3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
Instructions
Blend all ingredients in blender
Classic Frappuccino
Ingredients
3/4 cup double strength coffee (see below), chilled
2-1/2 cups 2 percent milk
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon dry pectin, optional (for texture)
Instructions
Combine coffee and sugar and chill. Add milk and pectin, shake together thoroughly and chill again. To serve, zap in a blender for 30 to 45 seconds, or shake mixture in ice, strain and serve. For vanilla add a capful of vanilla extract; for mocha, add a pinch of cocoa powder.
Make double-strength coffee by brewing with twice the coffee required by your coffee maker approximately 2 tablespoons of ground coffee per each cup of coffee. Chill before using.
Serves: 4
Frozen Frappuccino
Ingredients
3/4 cup double-strength coffee, chilled
3 tablespoons sugar
1 cup 2 percent milk
2 cups ice
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed until ice is crushed and drink is smooth. Pour into two 16-ounce glasses, and serve with a straw.
For caramel, add 3 tablespoons of caramel topping; for mocha add 3 tablespoons of Hershey's syrup. If desired, top with whipped cream and drizzle additional sauce over top of cream.
Serves: 2 large
"Classic" Frappé RecipesFrapuccino Healthy Version
Ingredients
1/2 cup milk (or 1/2 n 1/2 for richer drink)
1/4 c honey
1/4 c cream
1/2 tsp cocoa
1 tsp vanilla (may also add a little nutmeg, hazelnut syrup, and/or coconut extract as well to spice it up)
2 T. coffee substitute (like Peru or Roma) or 1 tsp instant coffee
Instructions
Mix all in a blender, then add about 2 cups crushed ice (or 3 cups cubed). As soon as the drink gets thick, like a milkshake, you can stop adding ice, and it should be perfect.
Vanilla Bean Frappe
Ingredients
3 tablespoons sugar
1 cup 2 percent milk
2 cups ice
2 small scoops vanilla ice cream
Instructions
Blend until ice is completley crushed.
1 Large serving
Cherry Frappuccino Ingredients
1 cup ice
2 scoops cherry ice cream
1 scoop coffee ice cream
1 tablespoon chocolate syrup
1 shot espresso or 1/4 cup strong coffee
1/3 cup whole or skim milk
Instructions
Put ingredients in blender and whirl away. Top with whipped cream or drizzle with chocolate syrup if desired.
Serves: 3 (7 ounce each)
Caramel Mocha Frappuccino
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups cold Starbucks coffee, brewed double strength
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons caramel syrup
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon dry pectin
3 cups ice cubes
Instructions
Combine the coffee, milk, sugar, caramel syrup, pectin, and cocoa in a blender and mix on medium speed for 15 seconds to dissolve sugar.
Add the vanilla extract and ice, then blend on high until smooth and creamy. Stir with spoon if necessary to help blend.
Pour into glasses and top each with whipped cream and drizzled caramel syrup.
Black Forest Mocha
Ingredients
2/3 cup hot brewed coffee
2 tablespoons HERSHEY'S Chocolate Syrup
2 tablespoons light cream
1 tablespoon maraschino cherry juice
Whipped cream (optional)
Maraschino cherry (optional)
Instructions
In large mug, stir together coffee, Hershey's Chocolate Syrup, cream and cherry juice. Garnish with whipped cream and cherry, if desired. Serve immediately.
Serves: 1
