We've all heard coffee is "bad", so is it true? Too much of any good thing can be bad, when it comes to coffee here's why.
CON'S
A) Budget: it can get quite expensive. Solution: make them at home as much as you can, here's some recipes.
B) Too Much Sugar: Miley's favourite the Frappes, have a ton of sugar and that's calories, not to mention sugar rushes. According to Starbucks, one mocha frappuccino, made with low fat milk and with whipped cream on top contains 260 calories and 12 grams of fat. Solution: make sure frappes are a treat and not your daily diet. The better daily diet you have and the more active you are by excersising, the more treats you can give yourself. Keep it balanced!
C) It's Addictive: and not in a good way! Coffee causes you Taquifilaxia. What most people love about coffee is that rush of energy it gives you. You have to watch out for that, not only cos the rush fades quickly but cos of the taquifilaxia effect. This quality of coffee makes you need more coffee every time to get the same rush you initially got. Plus it causes an abstinence effect, that means if you're used to having coffee daily, you'll feel you need the coffee when you don't have it. Solution: Try caffeine-free coffee, or don't have it on a daily basis.
PRO'S
You prolly don't need any reason why to drink coffee, but here's a cool fact. Black coffee is an antioxidant, one of the same good qualities the praised green tea has. Antioxidants prevents the early ageing helping you to stay healthy. But even experts you support black coffee as an antioxidant recomend to keep the serves low. So there you go: enjoy your coffee!
Extra Tip: the more natural it is, aka the less processed and closer to the bean, the better.
